Redistribution of Wealth

Another day, another patrol.

Since nothing much was going on except for some members a nice amount of systems away taking down a Navy Issue Raven, I decided to get into my Vengeance, Blood Dart, and head out in the area to see what was lurking around.

Twenty minutes ticked away slowly while hunting for possible victims when I find a Hawk orbiting a stargate and the surprise was mine when the pilot decided to engage me allowing myself free reign on returning fire. The engagement escalated as said pilot had a support cruiser warp in and started pounding away at my Vengeance. Luckily with the extra armor resistance modifications I was able to handle the beating and take out the Hawk and then proceeded to reduce the Caracal support cruiser to space debris a handful of minutes later.

After collecting what salvage there was worth taking, I headed back to base in Ishomilken to and changed into my Prophecy. The ragtag crew of mine always liked this ship and it's always brought more or less good fortune to us in the past and it proved to do so again. Not twenty minutes after roaming about aimlessly again ... I found a lone Ferox roaming asteroid belts and setup in a belt near the end of the systems belt chain. The Ferox landed next to me coming out of the warp tunnel and I locked it down and opened fire.

Being a general unwritten rule in VETO to ransom before destroying every target you get, a bad habbit I'm trying to break, I open private communications with the pilot and demand a twenty million isk ransom payment for his ship. I get the wire transfer and let him go and then notice however than instead of a measly twenty million the pilot had transfered an amazing one billion, eight hundred, thirty million isk to my account instead. Realizing the pilot had made an obvious error I responded back in the open channel that I'd wire back the excess amount to maintain honor and good relations with our victims. The pilot being a generous person, perhaps due to my trying to be an honorable person, said to keep the eight hundred odd million and wire back the one billion solid. I didn't hesitate and wired the one billion and got my best ransom amount in my entire career!

The wallet is definately looking much better sitting at over one billion kredits thanks to the generous victim of yesterday.
