Power of the Lessers

"Aeon has been probed down into a safe spot." The word came through the alliance channels and I felt my heart start to race.

I was a few jumps out patrolling for new victims when the call came through the communications and I began the race back to headquarters to switch over to Allure, my Devoter, and get the crews prepared to fight what could potentially be their own doom.

Naturally the crews were flawless and even more fearless and worried than myself, a shining beacon of the loyalty of the crew, some of who have survived with me since my departure from the State. In anycase the transition to the new ship took only minutes and I was undocked and heading towards the main fleet.

I honestly wondered how roughly twenty battleships and some support was going to take down a mothership, especially a renowned one such as an Aeon. Luckily when we landed nearby and disrupted the cloaking field it had activated and put our Infinite Point Scram scripted disruptors on it, the support had already left the Aeon to its fate and the pod pilot decided to leave communications and effectively his ship and countless crew to our mercy since any ransom attempts weren't met.

A few minutes turned into an eternity as we slowly took down the massive armor and structure plating of the mothership and then the amazing explosion as the colossal reactor cores ruptured tearing the ship apart giving off a blinding explosion and shock wave.

The pod that ejected from the wreck automatically warped off following emergency warping protocol, however our members were able to find it and destroy the pod and the victim inside as well; a fair thing to do seeing as how he left his untold numbers of crew to die helplessly in the Aeon.

In anycase the surprise was ours when we found expensive faction and officer modified equipment still intact along with a vast number of combat drones and fighters. Needless to say the payout from our salvaging ranged in the multiple billions giving all involved a hefty share of ISK.
